Muscle fatigue, difficulty exerting strength, double vision and breathlessness can be symptoms of myasthenia gravis. Early symptoms may be mild or fluctuate, making the condition difficult to recognise until it has become more serious.
Myasthenia gravis: grades 1–5 Grade 1 may involve drooping eyelids, double vision and blurred vision. Grades 2–4 may progressively involve tiredness, a heavy feeling in the head and weakness in the limbs. The original article describes severe grade 5 symptoms as difficulty swallowing and breathing.
